| I don't use my 8" Delta bandsaw that much so I decided to combine it with the disk sander that was always in the way on my bench.
The stand is basically three pieces of 3/4" plywood fastened to a base on castors, two long side panels and a short back panel to allow the disk sander to clear it. The top is a piece of 3/4" plywood with a length of pipe bolted to it that fits through holes drilled in the side up-rights. The front has two braces on the bottom corners, the center is clear for the bandsaw to pass through.

The bandsaw swings under bringing the disk sander up, top locks by swinging arms into notches for disk sander and on to top edge for bandsaw.

The pivot is 1/2" ID iron pipe, I cut washers out of 1/2" plywood to go between top and sides. I fastened short strips to the sides so that when the sander is up the top rests against the bottom of them, when the bandsaw is up the top rests on the top of them. |
